Repair it or replace it?

Two numbers decide this: how old the machine is, and what the fix costs against a new one. Enter both and you get the same answer our technician would give you on the phone — including when that answer is to keep your money.

Repair it

General guidance from what we see across 17 years of Arizona repair work, not figures from an industry table. Your machine isn't an average, so we show you every number the answer is based on.

    Transparent & up front

    Our 6-step appliance repair process

Same way on every job, whether it's a dryer in Casa Grande or a built-in in Scottsdale.

    1. Call or schedule online

Call the line for your county, or schedule online and we'll call you back to pick a time. (520) 788-4004 for Pinal, (480) 791-8858 for Maricopa.

    2. A technician comes to you

A technician comes out to your home, same-day where the schedule allows.

    3. We find the actual fault

The technician diagnoses the problem quickly, on the machine, rather than guessing from the symptom.

    4. You hear the plan first

Before any work starts, they explain exactly what they are going to do - including when it is not worth fixing.

    5. A flat-rate price, up front

You get one price before the work begins, and it does not change however long the repair takes.

    6. You pay the price you were quoted

What we quote is the final price. No additional charges you were not expecting.

Why the answer changes on a high-end machine

A $600 dishwasher past halfway through its life is rarely worth a $400 repair. A built-in Sub-Zero, Wolf or Thermador is a different machine built to a different lifespan, and a repair that would be uneconomic on a budget unit is often the obvious call. Replacing a built-in also means matching a cabinet opening, which is a cost the sticker price never shows.

    Repair or replace questions

    • How does the calculator work out its answer?

It uses how long machines last and what they cost to replace, based on 17 years of Arizona repair work, not numbers off an industry chart. Your machine isn't an average, so the tool shows how it got its answer instead of just handing you one.

    • Why does the answer change on a high-end machine?

A $600 dishwasher past halfway through its life is rarely worth a $400 repair. A built-in Sub-Zero, Wolf or Thermador is a different machine built to last a lot longer, so a repair that wouldn't make sense on a budget unit is often the obvious call.

    • Does it matter that the appliance lives in the garage?

It matters enough that the tool asks about it. A garage with no AC in an Arizona summer takes years off an appliance, especially anything with a compressor.

    • Can I get a second opinion on a repair quote?

Yes. If someone's quoted you a number and you want to know if it's worth paying, call us and we'll tell you straight, even when the answer is don't spend the money with us.
